Join our Classical Learning Pod on Mondays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at SOLAAR!

Led by a classically trained teacher, our pod blends time-tested methods with a nurturing environment. Students will explore:

  • First Language Lessons – early grammar and language through recitation and storytelling
  • Writing With Ease – thoughtful narration and copywork
  • All About Spelling – multisensory phonics-based spelling

Anatomy

Get ready to dig into the amazing human body—one organ at a time! In this fun and hands-on class, young learners will explore a different organ each week by building it with clay. From the brain and heart to lungs and kidneys, we’ll learn what each organ does and how it helps our body work.

Kids will love using their creativity to sculpt, color, and label their own mini models while picking up fascinating facts along the way.

Speak Up & Shine!

Ages: 8+

Day/Time: Fridays, 11:00 AM

This playful and supportive class helps young voices grow strong and confident! Through fun games, storytelling, show-and-tell, and simple speaking activities, children will build the courage to express themselves clearly and kindly in front of others.

We’ll explore tone, body language, eye contact, and active listening—all while celebrating each child’s unique voice. Whether your child is naturally shy or already loves the spotlight, this class builds the confidence to speak up and shine in any setting!


 

Math Group

Day/Time: Wednesdays, 11:00 – 11:50 AM

Join us for a playful and engaging math group designed to build confidence and spark curiosity in young learners! This class focuses on reinforcing skip-counting skills while introducing new math topics each week through movement, games, and hands-on activities.

This joyful class blends music, rhythm, and movement to help children connect with sound and self-expression in a playful, engaging environment. Through singing, dancing, games, and hands-on activities, students will explore basic musical concepts like beat, tempo, pitch, and dynamics—all while developing coordination, listening skills, and confidence.

USA Wild Geography

Pack your adventure gear and join us as we explore the wild and wonderful landscapes of the United States! In this hands-on geography class, students will learn about the unique regions, wildlife, and ecosystems that shape America’s natural world—starting with the fascinating deserts of the Southwest.

Through maps, stories, crafts, games, and mini field guide projects, students will:

  • Learn about landforms, climate, and habitats
  • Discover desert animals and plants

All About Reading – Level 3

Taught by a classically trained instructor with the proven, multisensory All About Reading curriculum.

In this engaging reading class, students will strengthen their fluency, expand their vocabulary, and develop confident reading comprehension using the structured and research-based All About Reading Level 3 program. This level focuses on more complex words, multisyllable decoding, and expressive reading, all while keeping learning fun and interactive.

Each session includes hands-on activities, games, and guided reading that support various learning styles—ideal for both visual and kinesthetic learners. Whether your child is advancing in their reading journey or needs a confidence boost, Level 3 provides the tools and encouragement they need to thrive.

Through fun, age-appropriate projects, children will explore the basics of physics, design thinking, and problem solving—all while developing creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

IEW: Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales

Day/Time: Wednesdays, 10:00 AM

Based on the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) Curriculum

Step into a world of talking animals, ancient legends, and magical tales—all while learning to write with structure and style! In this lively writing class, students will use well-loved fables, myths, and fairy tales as the foundation for developing strong writing skills.

Using the engaging and effective IEW method, students will learn how to:

  • Summarize stories and retell them in their own words
  • Use key word outlines to plan writing
  • Add style with strong verbs, quality adjectives, and sentence openers
  • Build confidence in editing and sharing their work

This course engages middle school students (ages 11–14) in exploring and understanding the world around them through the lens of current events. Students learn to critically analyze news stories, identify bias, discuss major local and global issues, and connect current developments to history, civics, science, and economics.

By reading, researching, and discussing news from reputable sources, students build media literacy, empathy, critical thinking, and real-world awareness—essential skills for thoughtful and informed citizenship.


 

Biology

Ages: 12+

This Biology course provides students with a deep understanding of the living world, exploring the structure and function of organisms, life processes, ecosystems, and modern biological technologies. The course encourages curiosity, scientific thinking, and practical application, preparing students for further study or careers in health, life sciences, and environmental fields.

This course introduces students to the foundations of effective writing using IEW’s Structure & Style Level 1B curriculum, alongside grammar instruction through Fix It! Grammar. Students develop confidence in writing through incremental, systematic instruction and consistent skill practice.


 

Pre-Algebra

This course serves as a bridge between elementary mathematics and formal algebra. It strengthens students’ number sense, introduces variables and expressions, and lays the groundwork for problem-solving with equations. Germany: Development of Dictatorship 1918-1945

Middle School Geometry

Middle School Geometry introduces students to the foundational concepts of spatial reasoning, measurement, and geometric relationships. Demolition / Construction Advanced Class

This hands-on class offers real-world experience in demolition and construction. Over 12 days, students will:

  • Demolish and construct walls
  • Install electrical fixtures
  • Learn basic plumbing
  • Install floor tiles and partitions
  • Build a closet and paint

Daily Schedule Includes:

  • Aug 11: Remove water cooler, wall removal
  • Aug 12: Wall removal, electrical installation of lights/switches
  • Aug 13: Wall construction
  • Aug 14: Install 2×36-inch doors, door locks
