What is SOLAAR?
SOLAAR stands for Society of Living Arts and Respite. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and families, offering a wide range of educational and creative programs designed to inspire growth, foster creativity, and build a strong sense of community.
Where is SOLAAR Located
We are located at New Hope, 10539 122nd Ave, Largo, FL 33773.
What Are Your Operating Hours
Our school grounds are open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Program and Classes
What age groups do you cater to?
We offer programs for children ages 6-12 and 13+
What types of classes do you offer for ages 6-12?
We offer a variety of classes including World Geography, World History, Biology, Art and Astronomy, Drawing, English, Mathematics, Yoga, and Human Body Science.
What types of classes do you offer for ages 13+?
Our classes for older students include Drama, Creative Writing, Somatic Breath and Bodywork, Mechanics, Algebra I & II, English Literature (To Kill A Mockingbird), Physics, Woodworking, Speech and Debate, Yoga/Qigong, Financial Planning, and Conflict Resolution.
Are there any fees for the classes?
Most classes are included in the registration fee. However, some classes like Mechanics and Physics have an additional materials fee of $5
Registration and Enrollment
How do I register for classes?
You can register for classes by completing the online registration form available on most of our website, or pressing the button here.
Can I register for multiple classes?
Yes, you can register for as many classes as you like, subject to availability.
Is there a deadline for registration?
We recommend registering as early as possible to secure your spot, as some classes have limited availability.
Daily Operations
What should my child bring to school?
Your child should bring a packed lunch if they plan to eat in the café at 12:30 PM. We provide coffee and snacks. For specific classes, any additional materials required will be communicated in advance.
Is there a dress code?
We do not have a strict dress code, but we recommend comfortable clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities.
What happens if it rains?
Our classes and activities will continue, rain or shine. We have indoor facilities to accommodate all scheduled activities during inclement weather.
